Cara and her team created a brand story that explained the business name and brought the characters to life with bespoke illustrations that brought the imagination and personality of our business into our appearance. The feedback from customers since the rebrand has been fantastic and our stats show we’re on our way to getting more loyal site visitors.Toks Aruoture, Founder, Punkin Patch Interiors

Punkin Patch is an online store for luxury nursery and toddler’s furniture, bedding and décor.
The company was founded in Georgia, US and has been running in the UK too since 2006. Their name comes from the US tradition for fathers to use ‘Punkin’ as a term of endearment for their daughters.
They approached us looking for a new look as they felt their current look & feel didn’t reflect the quality of their beautiful custom made pieces.
Punkin Patch's Old Look
We wanted to reconnect Punkin Patch with luxury.
We started off with a discovery session to clarify the values behind the brand and un-dig it’s US history.
Punkin Patch founder Toks Aruoture told me what motivated her most was creating bedrooms that encouraged the imaginations of children – making places that they would want to play and dream in.
We used this as our starting point for the rebrand, along with the fact ‘Punkin’ is a term of endearment.
We knew we wanted a soft, premium and romantic look for the brand and so we worked with esteemed illustrator Gemma Milly who created beautiful watercolour drawings for the brand.
After our discovery session, illustrator Gemma came up with two different concepts: one leading with images of Punkin Patch products on a shelf and including their existing rabbit icon, and one new direction, featuring a little girl blowing bubbles.
The client chose to develop this little girl route as it encapsulated the mood they wanted for the brand: an air of fantasy and make believe that is infectious when you are a child.
We wanted to convey imagination and so the bubbles that Punkin blows turn into real hot air balloons. She is also playing dress-up in mummy’s high heels.
Developing a Brand Identity
With Punkin’s character already developed, we decided to create some play mates for her to bring to life the playful and fun atmosphere created by Punkin Patch bedrooms.
We created Patch, Punkin’s younger brother who also enjoys playing dress-up, wearing daddy’s shoes. Patch was created specifically to feature on the website for the boys’ bedroom items.
