Evîn Candles

Having first worked together in 2019 to name and brand their candle range, Evîn came back to us to refresh to their visuals.

Over three years their business had evolved - having honed the perfect blend of essential oils and natural waxes, ​​​​​​​​founder Güllü wanted the focus to be on the scents themselves rather than the jars (which had previously been a strong focal point for the brand). This also coincided with interesting insight into her customer's buying patterns, and together we made the decision to bring the brand in a more modern direction.

#1 Moodboard

To begin the process, we worked closely with founder Güllü to define the new aesthetic for the brand. We knew we wanted it to be minimal with neutral tones, like the new candle jars, to fit in many different interiors beautifully.

#2 Logo changes

We wanted to maintain the central concept behind the original brand, but we also wanted to soften the brand image from traditional luxury to something warmer and more inviting.

We modified the brand's signature rosette icon, bringing more roundness to the shape (which was previously more diamond shaped) and increased the size of the brand name, bringing a completely new balance to the logo. ​​​​​​​​We introduced the line ‘Zurich’ beneath, not only for visual balance, but also to evoke brands within the fragrance world who list their origin city, such as Dior and Diptyque.

​​​​We also changed the font of the brand's typography - staying within the serif family but selecting a much lighter and more contemporary font.​​​
